[ For the most part, Cinna is quite choosey about his clients. He has to dress up the occasional high-life, and when he does it's done well, but it's not what he prefers. Cinna prefers people like the Girl on Fire. He prefers messages through fashion. He prefers emotional work. He prefers helping the underdog, in a strange way, because if he can't help those that fight despite the odds, then there's no point in doing anything at all.
Matt Murdock is probably his favourite, if he had to choose, next to Katniss. That isn't to say Katniss is better--but Katniss is in a realm of her own. Katniss is going to burn the Capitol down. Matt, though, Matt is one of his long-standing clients.
The blind devil, they called him. The one that one the games out of sheer stubborn will, Cinna thinks. Matt's the perfect canvas through and through--physically fit, mentally witty, and the shape of his jaw makes everyone who's anyone swoon just a little when he smiles.
Cinna knocks once before entering, and when he does, he's alone and with his own materials. This is a personal visit, a personal client, and while they've kept it professional, he's confident enough with the other that he knows he won't mind. ]
[ Matt used to split his time between his home district and the Capitol, during the first few years following his Victory. Slowly, that balance tipped, until he found himself making one annual trip to the Capitol. Not for the reasons most assume, though. Not because he managed to reintegrate himself into his home, a feat more than a few victors never achieve.
Mostly, it's because the Capitol is too crowded, too busy, to properly maintain his distance from the rest of the world. Here, there are demands, people who want to attach themselves to him, people who expect things from him. And expect him to smile and express his gratitude for the great honor they've bestowed upon him, in allowing Matt to trade his sight for fame and indolence.
He hates coming to the Capitol district, and yet by the very fact that it forces him to partake of society for a while, he's also able to fill the void created by his self-imposed isolation.
The one bright spot, is a chance to visit with Cinna. Matt's already smiling when the door opens, and he moves toward the man with a hand outstretched. ]
Maybe this year, we just get me dressed to skip a victor's banquet?
I'm not your PR agent, I'm just here to dress you. [ There's a ghost of a smile on Cinna's face, even if Matt can't see it, and he moves to shake his hand, grip firm. He moves his other hand to touch Matt's shoulder, gentle but confident, and lets go only to grab his things and move to the living room. It's old routine by this point, something Cinna draws a strange comfort in as he sets a large box containing his tools on the table, draping the suit he'd chosen carefully across the couch. ]
You would be depriving everyone the chance to see you. [ All of the girls that practically throw themselves onto him--and some men. Cinna's seen it himself, and there's nothing quite like Matt Murdock's slightly embarrassed smile as someone makes obvious passes at him. It's enough to make Cinna envious--or it would, if Cinna's first and only passion were clothes, not love.
former victor who lost his sight during the games?
